CranioSomatics for TFH and
SK Workshops
CranioSomatics for Touch for Health and Specialized Kinesiology Practitioners
This 2-module (4-day) cranial Foundation series is based on the CranioSomatic concept that alterations in the position and function of the osseous and soft tissue components of the cranial mechanism are reflected in identifiable and predictable compensatory musculoskeletal responses throughout the body. These workshops present the anatomy, physiology, and craniosacral concepts necessary for participants to apply the sutural release procedures presented in CS-TFH - 1 and the sphenobasilar strain pattern releases presented in CS-TFH - 2. Participants will learn how to correlate sutural restrictions and sphenobasilar strain patterns with posture and musculoskeletal function, as well as other factors in both modules.
Techniques derived from Applied Kinesiology (manual muscle testing, therapy localization and challenge) are reviewed. These and other evaluation procedures are used extensively throughout our treatment programs to identify cranial dysfunctions, demonstrate their compensatory effects on muscles and fascia throughout the body and confirm after treatment that somatic function has been restored. The knowledge and skills developed in each of these workshops enables participants to immediately apply these cranial concepts and procedures in their treatment protocols.
CranioSomatics for TFH & SK (CS-TFH - 1)
Prerequisite: TFH Level 2 Practitioner
This first 2-day workshop of the TFH & SK series provides an essential foundation in cranial anatomy and physiology, with a focus on identifying and releasing sutural restrictions. Participants will develop the knowledge and skills to locate and release sutural restrictions occurring in both the cranial vault and facial regions. Sutural restrictions are correlated with specific patterns of muscle weakness (inhibition) and postural changes. Participants will learn to identify sutural restrictions using AK techniques; to correlate these sutural restrictions with specific muscle weaknesses; to make the appropriate cranial corrections; and to confirm that the muscle function has been restored. Participants will be able to incorporate cranial sutural techniques, AK evaluation procedures and CranioSomatic concepts into their treatment protocols at the completion of this first workshop.
CranioSomatics for TFH & SK (CS-TFH - 2)
Prerequisite: CS-TFH - 1
This second 2-day workshop of the TFH & SK series continues to build on the knowledge and skills acquired in CS-TFH - 1. It provides more depth and detail in cranial anatomy and physiology. The focus of the workshop is on providing the knowledge and skills for participants to identify and release the ten sphenobasilar strain patterns and other cranial dysfunctions. These patterns are correlated with both sutural restrictions and global patterns of postural and musculoskeletal compensation. The evaluation procedures used in CS-TFH - 1 are applied here in the pre- and post-testing of the sphenobasilar strains and their global compensatory patterns. This workshop also includes more advanced vault and facial treatment techniques.
